WHEN BEING RIGHT GOES WRONG

Abel  got killed for doing right, a disheartening but true story, Genesis 4:1-8.

We are in a time and seasons were wrong is widely accepted globally. Most times, people on the  right path suffers persecution of all kinds and  sometimes death. This could be somewhat discouraging but Jesus said, Remember what I told you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also...John 15:20a (NIV).

Apostle James also admonish us in James 1:2 (TPT) My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can!

If our persecution does not lead to death like in the case of Abel, let's take it well with joy so it can stir up power within us and likewise activate  patience. And if death happens, we know we will make it home and the crown of glory awaits us.
It is better to suffer for being godly than enjoy for wrong doings.

I think this scripture seals it.
Matthew 5:10 (TPT) “How enriched you are when you bear the wounds of being persecuted for doing what is right! For that is when you experience the realm of heaven’s kingdom.

Who is leading you?

1 Kings 17:2-5: [2]And the word of the Lord came to him, saying,
[3]Go from here and turn east and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, east of the Jordan.
[4]You shall drink of the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.
[5]So he did according to the word of the Lord; he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, east of the Jordan.
After prophet Elijah had declared no rain on the land. His most trusted voice spoke to him again and told him to go to the cherith brook where an unlikely bird will come feed him.

First, God took Elijah to a steady surply of water. Even if the whole nation will suffer drought, not a man who knew his God. Pandemic is an opportunity for God to show how much he cares if one trusts him and seek his voice.

Secondly, even if Ahab was looking for Elijah to hurt him, cherith brook will be the last place he would consider. Our safety is always ensured when we stay in his will.

Another thing worthy of note here is the Raven that God used to feed Elijah.
Raven is seen as an unclean bird by the Jewish tradition, a no go area especially for a Jewish prophet. But God was teaching Elijah that; it is easy to miss God when ones judgement is beclouded with tradition.

Apostle Peter almost made the same mistake with Cornelius in Acts 10:1-36. If Peter did not listen to the holy spirit, he would have missed God outrightly by holding tight to tradition. The conversion of Cornelius and his household became a revival of reference that revolutionized Jewish perception towards other nations in the salvation plan of  God through Christ.
The best of God is experienced when one fully obeys God's voice.
